GPOY…Tuesday? ;P

I’ve missed a couple of Wednesdays, so I hope you excuse me for this very gratuitous portrait. ;)

It’s been a while, tumblr! I’m back in Fullerton after a two week break, no school yet but I’m working midweek. Leaving home comes with the reality of sad goodbyes and a reminder that my two-week blast-from-the-past with family and friends (many old, some new!) is coming to a close.

I’m not sure if I’ve ever enjoyed the holiday season more than I enjoyed this one. I could get all lovey-dovey and account that on the wonderful people (or a specific person) God has brought into my life to share it with, but I think it’s more than that. As I’m growing older I’m realizing that all of those holiday cliches about Christmas being a time for giving and being with friends and family really are the most beautiful things about the season.

And now that the New Year has come, all I can think about is change, cleaning, and reorganizing my life.

I’m turning 20 this Saturday, and for the first time I think I finally feel my age. I’m settling comfortably into cliches as I’m getting older, but I don’t think that’s so much of a bad thing: the “cliches” are just patterns that connect us all together.

I think I’m enjoying being cliche ;)

Happy New Year, everyone!

P.S. Oh yeah…the cute lovebird necklace was from my boyfriend for Christmas! ^.^
